It's Friday!!!

What a stellar week--NOT!  I won't say it can't get any worse, as we all know it can!  The week started with a broken tooth, which led to a root canal and a sore mouth!  The week has progressed enough that I am feeling much better, but on a clear liquid diet...yummy vegetable broth and water!  At least I'm feeling better--and, oh joy, working today--except right now of course, so I guess it's not so bad! I'm getting excited...we're coming up on our girls vacation which means FUN!  First we have to get through a softball tourney, but that should be over by Saturday and then it is off on a camping trip, just me and my girls!  We told the guys they could join us the last 2 days, but they feel work is more important than play...when will they ever learn!  It's time to lay around and be lazy, read books, hike, swim, pretend we know what we're doing when really we don't...be silly and not have any witnesses!  Time for making memories!  This trip isn't even started yet and I already had a request for next years vacation location!  Well, off to finish my day here and then home to do all weekend chores tonight so I can get carpets cleaned tomorrow and return a long borrowed carpet cleaner!!!  

I did it!!!

I did it!!!  I actually got this up and running AND accomplished what I set out to do under the effects of medication!  Kid just called, performance went well, game went well and fam is psyched over the fun they had tonight!  On the way home so I better get busy and pretended Iwas busy while they were gone!   Now (obviously not getting busy) to let some friends know I have blog capability...you aren't impressed, are you? If you knew me you would be!!!

Haven't had a first in a long time...

Wow...this is new to me!  I enjoy reading my friends blogs, thought I would give it a whirl myself. May be easier to keep up with folk this way!  Remember if you don't like, this is all C's fault!!!  Miss her a lot...talk to her nearly every day but it's not the same as before. Used to see her everyday and eat lunch, whine, complain, whench (can't cuss in case the kids read of course...always set the example, maybe I won't tell them about it!) and hang out.  Hate grants when they affect my friends (unless ofcourse it is positive), this time it wasn't...not for my friend, not for our former clients, not the docs...no one! Unless it is the For-Profit business that obtained the grant and haven't paid attention to the clients yet. Still cleaning up their messes...haven't even contacted some of the client's yet...been a month and now folks are having all kinds of problems. Maybe I should tell you I'm a social worker.  Oh well, I'll keep praying!  It will work out for C and the client's!  Still miss my bud--the only positive is that this makes it ALL play and no work, which is always a good thing!   Have  kids, dogs, cats, snake, bird, and mice.  Keeps hubby and I a hoppin!  Good thing we have lots of friends and family to help us out!!  An example of awesome husband, kids, and friends...went to the dentist today 'cause my tooth broke (folks, STOP chewing ice...it's not good for the teeth!!), well, ended up with a root canal and as I can't talk and my face hurts to move I missed taking my daughter and rest of kids down to the b-ball game.  Hubby jumped right in, took off early from work to get her down to the big city so she could dance before the game, daughter's big sis did her hair, friends helped get her back to the main dressing rooms so the girls could get ready to dance...haven't heard how it went...busy trying to set up this blog thing.    Closing for now...don't want to turn you all off with the excitement (or lack there of!) my life!!
