It's busy around here, and I think I finally met myself coming when I was going...At least I think that's how I ended up at the bottom of the stairs. Don't worry folks...I was ok, I'm used to it being a klutz and all! My boys are home and had a pretty good time gallivanting across the states helping others. They are back and back to their normal tasks and lives, still putting others first--great kids. The girls are adjusting to their return and we are adjusting to the increased noise and busy schedule. Life is back to crazy, which means normal around here! Liz is helping out a friend and this fills her days. Her nights are full of softball and friends (and tonight she is blowing off chick night to hang out at the field...Guess we know where we rate!). Tater is hanging out with his cousin, who is visiting for a spell. It's always lovely to have visitors and this one is especially nice and a lot of fun to be around. He's killer on the tennis court, great at the diamond and like to do a lot of the same things my kids do. Another nice thing is that kids he likes are the same ones my kids like so it keeps like simpler. The oldest 2 are working full time and hanging out with friends and doing what they do best...Being themselves (and they're pretty terrific so that's a pretty ok thing!!!). Well, we're off to chick night...Our one evening of calm. Aaaahhhh. Life is good.

Up with the times...almost...
My son will be surprised...for his birthday I'm getting DSL (ok, not exactly for his birthday, it's for all of us). As opposed to going through the phone or cable companies, I'm sticking with my trusted old internet provider. Although paying more for the upgrade, I am paying less than I would have through either my phone or cable companies and I'm not married to either one, no contract, so I can change those as I need to AND I don't have to change any addresses or anything!!! Thanks to all of you who helped with the decision... With bigger and faster abilities, maybe I'll even do something fun with this site! TTFN :-) PS: Boys return from their Mission Trip Sunday night (or Monday early AM, however you want to look at it). We're getting excited!!!!

Life brought to Perfection...
This famous guy...Pope JP II...wrote "After all, life on earth is not an ultimate but a 'penultimate' reality; even so, it remains a sacred reality entrusted to us, to be preserved with a sense of responsibility and brought to perfection in love and in the gift of ourselves to God and to our brothers and sisters." As I have mulled this over, read, thought some more, I take this to be a reminder of how to think, of how to live, as we go through our days, in the work we do, the life we live, the people and things we touch. Maybe if we did, well, this really could be paradise on earth. Seems to me, it would be much nicer place to live... The Golden Rule.

Summer Time, Summer Time...
It's summer, the heat has finally hit. It's pretty quiet around here, my boys on a Mission Trip, my oldest at work, the kids friends have gone home and the youngest is resting after a packed W/E at play. Our house guest returned home after a her last turbulent week. It's safe to say she is missed as is her family. Haven't heard from them since she went home (ok, there was that really strange note that didn't make sense, but no real contact). It's kind of weird. Sam turned 18 today AND he remembered to call home so we could talk to him, guess he does love us! The boys and those on the trip sound pretty good. We did hear that it snowed not to far from where they were stopping, so we are sure the stories will be fun. It's been so quiet, I'm not sure what to do with myself...I know there's always housework, but the only things left are the bathroom (and who wants to clean the bathroom???)and laundry. Too hot to cook or dry clothes (no clothes line)and still recovering from outside work. It ended in the rain, which felt absolutely wonderful, so did the shower that followed. I just want to sit and so I am. Hope all are having a great and relaxing weekend...We all enjoy it!!! TTFN
